I thought I knew how to prepare linguine al pesto - turns out I was wrong! Cannot be thankful enough for this tour, an authentic experience in an house perched inside the Cinque Terre villages.

This was hands down the best thing we did in Cinque Terre! Our host was so warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The class was small and intimate, which made it even more special. We crushed fresh basil with a mortar and pestle, just like generations before us, and the flavors were out of this world!

We’ve traveled to Italy many times, but this was one of the most memorable experiences we’ve ever had! Our host welcomed us into a charming home in Riomaggiore, where we learned how to make real Ligurian pesto from scratch, just like the locals do. Between sips of local wine and the freshest ingredients, we got hands-on experience with both the traditional mortar and pestle and the modern method. It felt like cooking with an old friend, and the views from the terrace were simply stunning. If you want an authentic, relaxed, and delicious way to experience Cinque Terre, don’t miss this class!
